State Duma’s spring session, that was mostly discussed in the Russian media.

Measures aimed at stabilizing the economy, changes in state target programs and a number of laws were considered at the Government meeting. The discussion was attended by the Head of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Oleg Vasilaty.

The President held an expanded meeting on the development of towns and villages infrastructure. The discussion was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and the Head of the relevant parliamentary committee Oleg Leontyev.

Ceremony of laying flowers in memory of those killed in 2008 in South Ossetia was held at the Glory Memorial of the capital.

The spring session of the State Duma ended. Parliamentarians considered 586 legislations, 325 of which were adopted in the third, final reading and became laws during 57 plenary sessions.
