Congratulations on the Cosmonautics Day

Dear Pridnestrovians!

On behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and me personally let me congratulate you on Cosmonautics Day!

April 12 is a significant date for all the inhabitants of the Earth. This day 59 years ago, Soviet people entered new era in the history of all mankind. A new stage of technological progress began, the idea of ​​flying to the stars acquired real features that unite generations of people.

The space triumph of domestic science and technology was the result of the enormous, hard work of engineers, designers, medical workers, test pilots, thousands of factories and enterprises associated with the space and rocket industry, and, without exaggeration, every Soviet worker.

Pridnestrovian land from the beginning of the space era is closely connected with the history of Soviet cosmonautics. From 1951 to 1989 the 119th Fighter Aviation Division, the 684th Guards Orshansky Red Banner Fighter Aviation Regiment were stationed in Tiraspol, in which the distinguished cosmonauts V.V. Gorbatko, E.V. Khrunov, Yu.P. Gidzenko, A. N Berezovoi, V. N. Dezhurov, Yu. V. Malenchenko began their careers. Pridnestrovian food industry enterprises participated in the development and production of space power for Soviet cosmonauts. Land reclamators from Slobodzeya were among the first in the world to introduce the achievements of space research into the practice of organizing agricultural production.

Cosmonautics Day is an occasion for each of us to once again think about the realization of our wildest dreams and realize that there is nothing impossible! This was proved by the Soviet people, who sent man into space sixteen years after winning the most destructive war in the history of mankind.

Let “Poyekhali!” (Off we go!) of Gagarin motivates each of us to creative activity for the benefit of our loved ones and the entire Pridnestrovian people!
