Pridnestrovians celebrated the Day of Light Industry in the capital's Pobeda Park Last Sunday. The traditional exhibition-fair, where the leading enterprises of the industry presented their products, was visited by the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva.

The opening of the monument to "Warriors-sappers" in the village of Parkany, Slobodzeya district, was timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the transfer of the engineer-sapper battalion under the jurisdiction of Pridnestrovie. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Alexander Korshunov and parliamentarian for "Parkany" constituency No.24 Ivan Nedelkov took part in the solemn ceremony.
