Day of Light Industry was celebrated in Pridnestrovie

Sewing, knitwear, textile and footwear, the light industry is the closest to the consumer industry. It is represented in Pridnestrovie, by both small industries and large enterprises. Pridnestrovians celebrated the Day of Light Industry in the Pobeda (Victory) Park of the capital last Sunday. Tirotex, Intercenter-Lux, Odema, Softshoes (leading enterprises of the industry) and others presented their products. In the windows of makeshift stores, one could find everything from clothes and shoes to bed linen. Galina Antyufeeva, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic visited the traditional exhibition-fair.

Trademarks have prepared novelties for the holiday. For example, the Tirotex textile company has released a summer collection of bedding sets. It was presented to the vice-speaker of the Parliament by the general director of the company, Deputy of the Supreme Council Andrey Mezhinsky.

The best employees of light industry enterprises were awarded state awards on the holiday.
