News of the Supreme Council

The traditional May 9 dugout was organized in Tiraspol. It was held every year. Veterans, home front workers, blockade survivors, and their relatives gather at the table. They listen together with the first persons of the state to the songs of the war years and remember the heroes.

Flower-laying ceremonies at the memorials dedicated to the Great Victory Day were held this morning throughout the republic. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, the PMR Government Chairman Alexander Rosenberg, as well as heads of ministries, departments and representatives of city authorities came to lay flowers to the graves of soldiers-liberators in the Great Patriotic War in the capital.

The Supreme Council Chairman congratulated veterans of the Great Patriotic War, front-line soldiers, home front workers and all Pridnestrovians on the Great Victory Day.

Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov congratulated employees of radio and all branches of communications on their professional holiday.

A festive concert dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Palace of the Republic. Creative teams of Pridnestrovie performed for veterans, residents of the republic and top officials of the state.

The memory of 20 employees of the former Moldavian vegetable-potato irrigation experimental station, who died in the Great Patriotic War, was honored in Tiraspol in the microdistrict of the Scientific Research Institute. Deputy of the Supreme Council for the constituency Number 29 Igor Buga took part in the event.
