I congratulate you on your professional holiday on behalf of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and on my own behalf!

Press Day is a holiday that brings together people of various professions: editors, journalists, printers, publishers, distributors of printed materials. Of all those whose labour ensures one of the fundamental rights of citizens – the right to freedom of speech.

The role of the media is truly crucial and very significant. Our fast-paced modern world is a huge information space, and with your meticulous work you help to feel the pulse of the time, covering and reflecting the most important and everyday events in the republic and in the world, helping us to keep abreast of everything that is happening.

Your significant work allows us to navigate in modern realities, you not only talk about the news, you expand the horizons of your readers, give you the opportunity to think and reason.

You have such qualities as objectivity, creativity, truthfulness, courage, the possession of a literary gift and high moral principles.

I am sure that you will continue to be sincerely faithful to your work, setting an example of high civic responsibility.

Special words of gratitude are to veterans, those who stood at the origins, those who contributed to the development of journalism and the press.
