News of the Supreme Council

Members of the Presidium of the Supreme Council met with the Russian delegation. Our republic was visited by the mayor of the city of Kaliningrad Alexey Silanov and the candidate for the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Yaroshuk.

This was discussed in the course of the meeting of the City Council. The deputies of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Ruslan Gareev and Anton Onufrienko took part in it.

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin held a working meeting on preparation of parliamentary-public hearings scheduled for August 21.

A documentary historical and biographical film about the life of Vitaly Ivanovich Glebov was premiered in the capital's cinema "Tiraspol".

The State Duma in the last session adopted the amendments, initiated by the President Vladimir Putin on strengthening anti-corruption legislation. They began in August.

Elections to local councils will be held in eight electoral districts. This was said at a meeting of the CEC.

Single voting day on September 9 will be monitored by tens of thousands of observers from public chambers. The amendments were adopted in federal legislation.

The President visited the construction site on the territory of the Republican Clinical Hospital. The current situation on the spot was discussed by the deputies of the Supreme Council Vladimir Pelin and Igor Buga.

Workers and veterans of the construction industry are honored in Rybnitsa. Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyfeeva, deputies Vadim Kravchuk and Andrey Safonov took part in the solemn event dedicated to the professional holiday.

The law-in-draft on simplification of the procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship for compatriots has been submitted to the State Duma.
