The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic was formed by the decision of the Second Extraordinary Congress of People's Deputies of all levels of Pridnestrovie. The republic and its residents accept congratulations on the 33rd anniversary of the creation of the PMR today.

Building "B" was solemnly opened after the reconstruction in the Pridnestrovian State University. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Pridnestrovie Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov, head of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science, Public Associations and Mass Media Igor Buga.

The Day of Knowledge was traditionally held on the first day of autumn in all educational institutions of the republic. 290 first-year students began their studies at the Agrarian and Technical College named after Frunze.

The PMR Supreme Council deputies took part in the solemn assembly and congratulated the schoolchildren of their constituencies.
