Day of Knowledge at the school No. 8 of the capital

There will be 4190 first-graders in Pridnestrovie this year. Secondary School Number 8 of Tiraspol has opened its doors for fifty of them today. The first lessons and breaks, the first homework and the first tests are ahead.

The festive line and lessons at school desks are no longer a novelty for second grader Taisiya. She managed to miss her classmates and class teacher for the long three months of summer.

A solemn assembly dedicated to the Day of Knowledge was held in Tiraspol secondary school Number 8 as in all other schools, lyceums and gymnasiums of the republic. The school bell rang for the first time in the new academic year for teaching from the 1st to the 11th grade.

Schoolchildren, teachers and honored guests by tradition came to congratulate. Deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR of the constituency No. 30 "Kirovsky" Grigory Dyachenko was among them.

Special parting words of the deputy were addressed to the graduates – students of the 9th and 11th grades, who this year will have to make the last leap into adulthood.

Secondary school Number 8 of Tiraspol is waiting for changes this year. The school is building a modern stadium with football, basketball and volleyball courts, running tracks and workout grounds. There are two large schools – Number 8 and Number 15 in the Kirovsky microdistrict. There was not a single sports ground until now. Not only schoolchildren, but also all residents of the Kirovsky microdistrict will be able to study here.

The construction of the stadium is planned to be completed by October 14, when Tiraspol will celebrate the 231st anniversary of its founding.
