Deputies Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov and Pavel Shinkaryuk propose to ban at the legislative level the propaganda of non-traditional values among children and adults. The package of relevant legislations was discussed by deputies today in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and the Media.
We are talking about a ban on propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations, refusal to have children and gender reassignment. It is proposed to make additions to the law "On the protection of children from information harmful to their health and development" and 6 more related laws.
It is proposed to introduce administrative liability for the propaganda of non-traditional values among children and adults, including through the use of mass media and information and telecommunication networks. The Code of Administrative Offenses provides currently for administrative liability only for the propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations among minors.
The legislative initiative will be considered in the first reading at the next plenary session, which will be held on April 9.
The legislations on amendments and additions to the law "On Education" and the law "On the development of primary and secondary vocational education" have been prepared for consideration in the second reading. The draft laws, which were developed by deputies Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov and Pavel Shinkaryuk, are designed to regulate the implementation of professional training programs and the mechanism of practice-oriented (dual) education. The specialized Committee has prepared mainly editorial in nature amendments for the second reading.
The legislations will be included in the agenda of the next plenary session. The specialized parliamentary Committee will recommend that the deputy corps adopt amendments and additions to the law "On Education" and the law "On the development of primary and secondary vocational education" in the second final reading.
