Participants of the meeting “Leader-2019” that was held in April spoke about the need to increase the age bracket for young people. A young person is considered to be up to 30 years old, in Russia - up to 35. Referring to the Russian experience, Pridnestrovian activists came up with a proposal to President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The President agreed with the opinion of young people and instructed to draft a law.
Today, changes to the law "On State Youth Policy" were considered in the course of the meeting of the relevant committee. The authors of the law-in-draft were the deputies Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov, Ruslan Gareev, Pavel Shinkaryuk. It is proposed to establish that the youth will be considered a socio-demographic group of citizens aged 14 to 35 years. In this case, the age of at least one spouse in a young family is also proposed to increase to 35 years.
The arguments were cited when, due to the period of study, graduates of the medical faculty by the age of 30 were only beginning to work fully. Due to age restrictions, they cannot use state support. In addition, in recent years, the age of first marriage has increased.
Changes will be made in other laws related to the allocation of concessional loans to young families for the purchase of housing, the provision of tax deductions.
The law-in-draft proposes to exclude the upper limit of the age limit for members and participants of youth public associations. The law-in-draft is recommended for adoption in the first reading.
