Timely legislations

Parliamentarians in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Private Association, Sports, Information and Youth Policy discussed the law-in-draft of Deputy Yury Chorin V convocation on making amendments to the law "On social protection of war veterans". A Negative opinion was received on behalf of the Government for the proposed initiative. Deputies Igor Buga and Andrei Safonov offered to provide the right to receive two pensions to widows, not remarried, and the parents of combatants killed during the fighting in the territory of other states, or died as a result of injuries received by the military, diseases.

The focus of the Committee of Deputies was also another timely proposal - an amendment to the Electoral Code, thereby reducing voter turnout in the elections of the President of PMR to 25%. Today, the presence of this number gives the right to be considered valid only to the election of deputies. Currently, turnout in the presidential election is more than 50%.
