The legislations, which will enshrine at the legislative level the mechanism for the transition of students from fee-based education to education at the expense of the republican budget, have been prepared for the second reading. The authors of the legislative initiative are deputies of the specialized parliamentary Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov and Pavel Shinkaryuk.

Amendments to the legislations developed by the specialized Committee and the Government for the second reading were discussed by deputies in the course of today's meeting of the Committee. The amendments clarified that the transition of students of universities, technical schools and colleges will be carried out on a competitive basis. The period of work in the specialty after completing the training, which is currently mandatory for all budget graduates, will be established for such students in a by-law at the same time. It will be developed by the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Cases and a detailed procedure for the transition of students from paid education to education at the expense of the republican budget will be established by the highest executive body of the republic in this document. The legislations on amendments to the Law "On Education" and changes to the Law "On Higher and Postgraduate Education" will be included in the agenda of one of the next plenary sessions. The specialized Committee will recommend that the deputy corps adopt the legislations in the second final reading.
