Monuments of art will be under state protection

They want to include the monument to A. S. Pushkin, located near the central city library of Tiraspol, like other monuments of art, to the state register of cultural heritage. The Supreme Council received law-in-draft from the Government proposing to amend the law “On immovable objects of cultural heritage”. It was considered by the deputies of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture at their online meeting. According to the current legislation, monuments of art cannot yet be taken under state protection.

Additions to the law "On immovable objects of cultural heritage" were supported by deputies of the relevant committee. The law-in-draft will be considered in the first reading at the plenary session in the near future.
