Public hearings in online format

Online public hearings: the Government proposed to legislate it form of holding hearings. The spread of coronavirus infection and the introduction of restrictive measures have made adjustments to the procedure for holding public hearings. The need to comply with sanitary measures made it difficult to conduct hearings indoor. Many meetings were conducted online for the same reasons. This format has already proven its effectiveness.

According to the deputies of the profile committee, conducting public hearings through information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet is a necessary and correct measure. Online hearings are one of the steps towards digitalization, which saves time and financial resources from the point of view of interaction between the public and government officials.

The Committee will recommend to the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft with additions to the law "On the foundations of public control in the PMR" in the first reading.
