To be ready for everything

Deputies of the Committee of the Supreme Council on Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy continued to work on improving the legislative framework governing the activities of the mass media in general and additional stimulation of professional excellence, creative approach through the payment of fees in particular. After the adoption of two amendments to the current law "On the Payment of Labor in the Budgetary Sector", members of the profile parliamentary committee recommended their colleagues to adopt the law-in-draft in the second and final reading.

The Government represented by the state communication service presented a legislative initiative aimed at raising the level of information security of the republic. It is a question of legislative prohibition of placing websites of government agencies on servers of providers registered outside the republic. Such a norm in Russia has been in effect since 2014. The proposed legal norm can have special significance in conditions of various kinds of sanctions. "Information security is a component of state security. This legislative initiative is urgent for the present time, when we must be ready for everything", said the chairman of responsible committee Igor Buga. His colleagues agreed by voting. They will recommend to the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft of the Government in two readings at once.
