A significant amount of communal infrastructure in Pridnestrovie has been restored

The Government and the Supreme Council managed to change approaches to the activities of natural monopolies, which led to the restoration of a significant amount of communal infrastructure in Pridnestrovie. Only 30% of the funds needed to restore all networks are financed from the budget, but there are positive results. The launch of heating in social institutions took place practically without accidents, said the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Sergei Obolonik, speaking in the course of the meeting of the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

A similar situation arises in water supply. The accident rate has decreased by half in the electric power industry, according to the website of the “News of Pridnestrovie” news agency. Sergei Obolonik emphasized that if it were not for the measures to put the energy infrastructure in order, the shock blackouts of November last year caused by instability in the energy system of Ukraine would have led to the loss of a significant part of the republic’s power substations. However, it was possible to start the system within 3-4 hours thanks to the repair work carried out in advance.
