Significant anniversary of the republic

Pridnestrovians celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the republic today.

Flower-laying ceremony took place at the Glory Memorial in the morning. The leaders of the republic, representatives of public organizations, heads of ministries and departments, guests of Pridnestrovie took part in it.

After raising the state flag of the PMR and the flag of the Russian Federation on the square named after Alexander Suvorov was a military parade. This year, the parade was timed to coincide with two significant events at once - the 30th anniversary of the formation of the PMR and the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky addressed the audience. He noted that with today's military parade we honor and pay tribute to all those who in different years stood guard over the borders of the Fatherland, who selflessly and honestly fulfilled their duty to the Motherland, who still serve their people with dignity and devotion.

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov in his congratulations on the anniversary date emphasized that on September 2, 1990, the II Congress of Deputies of all levels fulfilled the will of our multinational people, proclaiming the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The years that have passed since that fateful day have been difficult, but all the difficulties of the path traversed have tempered the inhabitants of the republic, made us all wiser, more responsible and more confident in our abilities.

Today the republic still has a lot of social and economic problems, and this requires new efforts from all of us, awareness of our duty and responsibility to society. At the same time, the head of parliament believes that we must believe in the future and unite efforts for the benefit of our republic and our descendants. Because the overall success depends on each of us.

17 crews took part in the jubilee military parade. Military personnel, employees and students of institutions and units of power ministries and departments marched in orderly ranks, chasing a step. There was legendary tank of the times of the Great Patriotic War T-34. Graduates of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense marched across Suvorov Square with the standards of all 13 fronts of the Great Patriotic War. They were followed by pupils of the Republican Cadet Corps and pupils of Suvorov Military College, cadets of the Military Institute, officers of the Ministry of Defense and a mechanized column of military equipment. Members of the honor guard company demonstrated a new program that included a number of particularly complex elements, including throwing weapons and special drill techniques. The festive procession was completed by the equestrian parade crew of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In just two months, the girls received the necessary skills and showed skillful use of complex elements of horse riding.

Right after the parade, according to tradition, festive events took place on the central square. The Exhibition Auditorium of the Catherine Park is open for all residents of Tiraspol. The first exhibition of the audience "Republic created by the people" is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the PMR.
