The Land Code is proposed to be supplemented with a new norm

10.02.2021

To provide the opportunity to build on leased land, the Government came up with such an initiative. The additions to the Land Code of the PMR were considered by the deputies of the Supreme Council in the first reading. The Land Code specifies in detail how the land plots provided for rent can be used. Citizens can get such plots on lease for organizing a peasant or farm enterprise, maintaining personal subsidiary plots and a number of other purposes.

At the same time, the law allows the construction of capital structures exclusively on public lands. This is the land of settlements. That is, squares, streets, parks, boulevards and squares. According to the law, it is impossible to organize a farm or run a personal subsidiary farm on public lands.

The developers proposed to amend the Land Code and allow the transfer of land plots for lease for other purposes, including for the construction of capital structures.

The purpose of this legislative initiative is to replenish the budgets of various levels. At present, the rent for land plots provided to individuals goes to the local budget in the amount of 100%. A payment of 70% goes to the local budget and 30% to the republican budget for those plots that are provided to legal entities.

The Supreme Council adopted the law-in-draft in the first reading. Work on amendments to the Land Code will continue taking into account the comments and suggestions made during the discussion.
