Meeting of the Parliamentary Presidium

Meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held. The agenda included issues on draft Resolutions of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

According to the norms of the Rules of Procedure of the Supreme Council, parliamentarians are presented with a report on the results of the activities of the Supreme Council every year and its working bodies for the previous year. The draft Resolution of the Supreme Council of the PMR "On the report of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR on the results of the activities of the Supreme Council of the PMR and its bodies for 2024" was considered in the course of the Presidium meeting today. The draft was prepared for consideration by the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens. At one of the plenary sessions of the parliament in May, the speaker Alexander Korshunov will present information on the number of plenary and emergency sessions held in 2024, on the legislative work of the deputies, on the activities of the committees and departments of the Office of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The draft Resolution "On the report of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR on the expenses of the Supreme Council of the PMR for 2024" will be considered simultaneously with the report on the results of the activities of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in 2024.

The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov congratulated his colleagues on the upcoming holiday and recalled the importance of the celebratory and memorial events that are held in the republic for the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Supreme Council deputies emphasized that on Victory Day they will be in their constituencies and take part in the celebratory events together with residents if possible. The participation of the parliamentary delegation in the celebratory events in the center of the capital of Pridnestrovie is planned also on the 9th of May.
