Protection against external economic factors

The Supreme Council at the plenary meeting considered and adopted the amendments to the law “On the Republican Budget for 2019” in the second reading. They provide for the redistribution of budget funds for a number of articles. In particular, this concerns the funds of the Road Fund. Over-planned revenues will be sent to the state administrations of Bendery, Tiraspol and Dniestersk for the purchase of road equipment, repair work and road construction.

In addition, it is proposed under the capital investment program to allocate funds for the acquisition of three trolley buses for Bendery. There are preliminary agreements with the manufacturers of these vehicles, which will allow the city to purchase trolleybuses at an attractive price. The average cost of a trolleybus is approximately 200 thousand dollars. The discount will be 70 thousand dollars.

The deputies passed in the first reading adopted law-in-draft “On Amending the Law “On Some Additional State Measures to Minimize the Negative Impact of External Economic Factors”.

This legislative initiative was developed in connection with the restriction of access of Pridnestrovian banks to the foreign exchange market of the Republic of Moldova.

The law-in-draft obliges exporters of electricity from Pridnestrovie to carry out the mandatory sale of foreign currency earnings exclusively in US dollars, regardless of the currency in which such revenue was received.

The Supreme Council at the plenary session in final reading adopted law-in-draft "On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the PMR economy". Changes to the law provide for state support for two river ports of Pridnestrovie - Bendery and Rybnitsa. The developers of the law-in-draft suggest reducing the tax burden for these enterprises.

Now everything will depend on management decisions that are made at the enterprise level. They must be effective so that river ports can be recovered. The net profit of the enterprise can be directed to capital investments in new equipment, repairs, expansion of production and improvement of material and technical base.
