Legislative Plans for February

04.02.2020

The agendas of the upcoming February meetings were replenished with new legislations. Today they were discussed in the course of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council. It is proposed to amend the Criminal Code. The law-in-draft proposes toughening sanctions for crimes such as failure to fulfill obligations to raise a minor and malicious evasion of payment of funds for the maintenance of children, disabled parents or spouses (former spouse).

The law-in-draft amending the law “On Individual (Personified) Accounting in the State Pension Insurance System” is presented as a legislative initiative by deputies of the Supreme Council Viktor Guzun, Vadim Doni, Vadim Kravchuk and Andrei Mezhinsky. The authors propose exempting legal entities that have suspended activities from the obligation to submit to the body that carries out individual (personified) records in the state pension insurance system of information about working insured persons.

It is planned to submit the law-in-draft “On State Support to Young Families” for consideration in the final reading. Today, a young family is the family in which the age of one of the spouses has not reached the age of 35. Last year, the Supreme Council raised the age limit.

The new law introduced by the Government will determine the legal, organizational and economic foundations of state support for young families in the form of state subsidies for the full or partial payment of a loan and interest on it for the purchase of housing in the republic.

As noted in the explanatory note to the law-in-draft, "the solution to this problem is one of the tasks enshrined in the Development Strategy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2019-2026, approved by the Decree of the President".

The law-in-draft, in particular, proposes to provide young families with state subsidies for the purchase of their own housing. The amount of subsidies will depend on the composition of the family from 10 to 14 thousand US dollars. Funds for these purposes are enshrined in the republican budget for this year. This is 15 million rubles.

Tomorrow the deputies will gather for the first February meeting, the next is scheduled for February 19.

At the end of the meeting, the speaker informed colleagues about the participation of the Pridnestrovian delegation in the Christmas educational readings “The Great Victory: Heritage and Heirs”, which took place in the Council of the Russian Federation, as well as meetings with fellow parliamentarians.

As noted by Alexander Korshunov, “today in Russia they consider it important to preserve and transmit the historical truth from the older generation of young people”. Pridnestrovie needs to get involved in this process, the Speaker is convinced. This important work should be carried out under the auspices of the state.
