Legislations in the sphere of economics and protection of citizens' rights supplemented the agenda of the plenary session

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov held a meeting of the parliamentary Presidium today. The agenda of the Presidium included legislations prepared for consideration by the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms and the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance.

The plenary session of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was scheduled for the 28th of May. Taking into consideration the small number of legislations on the agenda of the plenary session, the Presidium of the Supreme Council decided to postpone the meeting from May 28 to June 4.

The head of the parliamentary Committee on Legislation Vice Speaker Galina Antyufeeva proposed to submit for consideration by the deputy corps the legislations prepared by the Committee for adoption in the first or final readings. These include additions to the law "On state duty", amendments and additions to the law "On notaries", as well as a package of legislative initiatives that propose the introduction of stricter administrative and criminal penalties for public demonstration of a crime. The deputy corps will consider these amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code, the laws "On the Protection of Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development" and "On Information, Information Technologies and the Protection of Information" in the first reading. 

On the 4th of June, parliamentarians will listen to the report of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the PMR "On the state of observance and protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in the PMR by state authorities and administration bodies, local government bodies, citizens' associations, organizations regardless of their organizational and legal forms and forms of ownership and their officials and on the identified shortcomings in the legislation regarding the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms for 2024". The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance submitted to the plenary session on June 4 legislations that were prepared for adoption in the first or second readings. They were presented by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Vadim Kravchuk. These include amendments and additions to the law "On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the economy of the PMR", "On licensing certain types of activities". Also, in the second reading, parliamentarians will consider a package of legislations that will create a legal basis for the introduction of the Cash-in and Cash-out systems in the republic. This is when one can withdraw cash from an account or deposit money into an account at the checkout of any store. 

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov will present to the deputy corps a report on the activities of the Committees and departments of the Parliamentary Office for 2024 in the course of the plenary session of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on the 4th of June.
