Meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held on the 15th of December. It was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Galina Antyufeyeva.
There were approximately 70 issues on the agenda. Most of them are legislations prepared by the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance for consideration by the deputy corps. All of them about 40 issues will be included in the agenda of the plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which is scheduled for the 20th of December.
First of all, the deputy corps will consider the law-in-draft “On the Republican Budget for 2024” with the prepared tables of amendments and will adopt in the second reading the law-in-draft “On the budget of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund for 2024” in the third reading. The parliamentary corps will consider legislations that are aimed at supporting economic agents of Pridnestrovie, including minimizing the negative consequences of the unfavorable foreign economic and foreign policy situation. It is proposed in particular to amend the law “On the Fundamentals of the Tax System in the PMR”, which until the end of 2024 will extend the right to grant deferments (installment plans) for the payment of taxes, fees and other payments to the budget. Another initiative of the Government concerns amendments to the law “On Corporate Income Tax”, which will extend the support measures for business entities in force this year. The application of the coefficient of 1.05 when calculating income tax for enterprises in the clothing and footwear industry operating on customer-provided raw materials will be extended until 2024 due to the persistence of the difficult situation.
Meetings of parliamentary committees are still taking place in the Supreme Council. The legislations they prepared for consideration will be submitted to the plenary session. The Presidium decided today to hold another plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic next week – it is scheduled for December 21.
The agenda was filled with legislations, which at their meetings were considered by the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens, as well as the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex and Transport. The additional agenda will be determined before December 26 in the course of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. It is planned that the autumn session of parliament will be closed on December 21.
