At present, the Article 142 of the Labour Code of Russia prescribes: in case of delayed payment of wages for a period 15 days exceeding, the employee has the right to notify the employer in writing, to suspend work for the entire period prior to payment of the delayed amount. Until such time as the employer will give him a salary, the employee is entitled to be out of the office. However, the employer's obligation to make the payment of wages for the period of the current version of Article 142 of the Labour Code is not available.
