The Legislative Innovations

Parliamentarian supported the initiative of a group of deputies on the adoption of draft laws intended to regulate issues related to the migration process in Pridnestrovie, the definition of the status of foreign citizens and stateless persons, ensuring the constitutional right to freedom of movement, choice of residence and stay in PMR. The package includes four new documents for legal framework of the Republic.

According to one of the authors of the initiative, Chairman of the Committee on Legislation Galina Antyufeeva drafting laws were based on the Russian federal analogues, taking into account features of Pridnestrovie. The legislations received nine positive opinions. Among them, there are still no conclusions of the President and Government. Galina Antyufeeva said, in the framework of committee work the authors actively cooperated with representatives of all stakeholders, ministries and departments. According to her, all are unanimous in the opinion that the documents need to be taken in the first reading, in order to be able to work together to finalize it.

The legislations were adopted in the first reading. In addition, it was decided to establish a working group to improve them. President, Government, Supreme Court, Prosecutor's Office and the human rights ombudsman within ten days will have to delegate their representatives.
