Legislative changes

02.03.2022

Resident students studying at the expense of the republican budget will have to conclude an agreement on compulsory work in state medical institutions. The corresponding amendments were adopted today by the deputies of the Supreme Council in the second final reading. The initiators of the amendments to the law "On Education" are the parliamentarians of the profile committee. According to the current legislation, university graduates who studied on the budget must work up to 3 years in state organizations. A legislative gap was revealed in relation to student residents after the residency was introduced in the republic instead of the internship. According to the authors of the law-in-draft, taking into account the current shortage of doctors, it is necessary that this category of graduates also work in state institutions after training. Term is from 3 to 5 years – after training under the residency program. The procedure for the implementation of the agreement will be established by the Government. The adopted amendments to the law "On Education" were sent for signature to the President.

The deputies supported the amendments to the law "On the Status of Servicemen" in the first reading at the plenary session. We are talking about students called up for military service. They will be able to continue their studies by correspondence or evening form, regardless of which course they are studying. The amendments were made due to the fact that the current law provides for an additional basis for distance learning of conscript students - after the end of the first year. The relevant committee will continue to work on the changes to the law proposed by deputies Igor Buga, Andrey Safonov and Pavel Shinkaryuk.

The Unified State Register of Immovable Cultural Heritage Objects has been supplemented with one more object on the territory of the Bendery Fortress - “postern of half-bastion No. 5”, located in Panin Street, 2/2. The exact addresses of all objects located within the boundaries of the fortress have also been clarified. The deputies adopted the relevant amendments in two readings at once. The law-in-draft has been sent for signature to the head of state. The monuments included in the state register are under state protection, which means that conservation work is underway.
