The Law on measures of state support for citizens from Ukraine: the year of implementation

20.04.2023

More than 78100 foreign citizens have entered our republic, more than 67900 of which have registered in the PMR according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Almost 2000 people have used assistance centers. 112 people and 31 children from Ukraine live in temporary residences in Dnestrovsk, Kamenka and Rybnitsa now. Many live with relatives or rent housing. According to the law, which was adopted in Pridnestrovie a year ago, state support measures are in place:

- free accommodation and meals in temporary accommodation centers;

- employment in a simplified manner, it is enough to provide a passport;

– medical examination at the expense of the state;

- provision of medical care in polyclinics without payment;

– children of Ukrainian citizens eat free of charge in kindergartens and schools;

- one-time schoolchildren are given a set of stationery.

Kindergartens are attended by 236 kids. The capital's kindergarten in the Kirovsky microdistrict is attended by two younger sons of Irina Viktorova. A large family arrived in Tiraspol from Odessa in January.

The Viktorovs rent an apartment in Tiraspol, they are looking for a job, they turned to the Employment Assistance Department of the Center for Social Insurance and Social Protection. Specialists told them about vacancies. Assistant educators, workers in Spetszelenstroy, salespeople and other specialists are needed. They have already been given the coordinates of employers.

Approximately 150 citizens who arrived from Ukraine turned to employment centers. Many people find work themselves or wait for a suitable vacancy last year.

The Ministry of Social Protection and Labor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic coordinates the work of social organizations financed by international donors. Humanitarian support is provided in the form of cash assistance, medicines, the opportunity to take educational courses, and rehabilitation means are provided if necessary.

Volunteers provide assistance to those who arrived from Ukraine in Pridnestrovie. For example, there is a Consultative Center in the volunteer headquarters "We are near", which is located in Tiraspol in Lenin street, 37. They can get help of a lawyer and a psychologist. There is also a computer room, there is access to the Internet. Interested citizens from Ukraine can come to contact their relatives and friends via social networks and instant messengers, find the necessary information or study online.

A consultation can be obtained by calling 0(533) 52-555. The volunteer headquarters accepts any help from Pridnestrovians who do not want to stand aside: food, things, household chemicals, toys. Approximately 30 families receive vegetable kits thanks to the help of private organizations every week.

The law on state support for those who arrived from Ukraine, adopted last spring, will be in force in Pridnestrovie as long as there is a need to help people who want to live and raise children under a peaceful sky.
