Pridnestrovian militia officers celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Soviet militia and the 28th anniversary of the PMR militia. The participants in the solemn meeting devoted to these two significant dates were the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, vice speaker Galina Antyufeyeva, Prime Minister Alexander Martynov, representatives of ministries, departments, and public organizations.
The Head of the Government read out the welcome address of the President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The President noted that Pridnestrovian militia is on guard daily against crime. The memory of those who died in this struggle, the participants of the festive event paid a minute of silence.
A report on the everyday life of the militia department was made by Major General Ruslan Mova.
The Minister of the Interior said that crime detection is 90%, and the total number of reported offenses has decreased. The reform carried out in the power department increased the confidence of citizens in the militia, its material and technical base is growing: the fleet is being replenished with new cars, the buildings of city and regional departments of internal affairs are being reconstructed, and the Safe City video surveillance system is being improved. It is necessary to install an additional 500 cameras on busy sections of our roads.
Ruslan Mova also told the participants of the solemn meeting about various kinds of social projects that the Pridnestrovian militia are implementing, physical training and sports.
The development of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system in the draft budget for next year provides for 15 million rubles, said Alexander Martynov, head of the highest executive authority, who congratulated the militia officers on their professional holiday.
The parliament speaker expressed special thanks to veterans who served the people faithfully and honestly and with dignity fulfilled their constitutional duty to the Fatherland. Alexander Korshunov also expressed confidence that militia officers will continue to sacredly follow the glorious traditions accumulated by previous generations of militia officers, fulfill their duties flawlessly, and make a significant contribution to strengthening stability and peace of citizens.
The camertone of the concert program was heartfelt feedback of all those sitting in the hall of the Palace of the Republic.
