The Ministry of the Interior summed up the work for the past year and set tasks for the current one. The Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the PMR Armed Forces Vadim Krasnoselsky, the First President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Deputy Chairman Galina Antyufeyeva, the parliamentary committee member from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov, parliamentarian, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Kirova, heads of ministries and departments heads of state administrations and chairmen of city councils of the republic.

The event began with the laying of flowers at the monument to employees of internal affairs bodies who died in the line of duty.

A minute of silence was commemorated by the patrol officer of the Bendery Internal Affairs Directorate, Sergei Yurko, who died on January 15 this year in the line of duty, as well as those who died while protecting the republic.

At the meeting of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the head of the department Ruslan Mova called 2019 the difficult year for both the republic and the ministry as a whole. Along with this, summing up, he noted a decrease in crime by 11%.

The Minister of the Interior focused on ensuring the economic security of the state. Last year, 57 crimes in the field of taxation were identified. The amount of damage amounted to about 22 million rubles. Failure to pay taxes to the budget has an extremely negative effect on the fulfillment of social obligations by the state, the Head of department said.

Speaking about plans for 2020, Ruslan Mova emphasized that the ministry needs to take an active part in the formation of a long-term nationwide plan to combat corruption and ensure road safety.

As part of the meeting, the Head of the department focused on staffing in the ministry. Over the year, the indicator grew by 3% and amounted to 77.5%. Last year, the average wage in the Ministry of Internal Affairs increased by 30%. As for the solution of the housing problem, in the framework of social support of the state last year, 60 families of ministry employees received keys to apartments.

Within the framework of the meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the topics of prevention of road safety, fire safety and delinquency among the population were raised.

The President instructed the ministries of internal affairs and education to strengthen the promotion of compliance with traffic rules in educational institutions.

Speaking about fire safety, the President noted that it is necessary to revise the norms of the legislation regarding the conduct of inspections by specialized services.

Among the nationwide tasks outlined by the president are measures to prevent the theft of budget funds during the implementation of state targeted programs.
