The Care for Disabled Children

The State Targeted Program for the Prevention of Childhood Disability and Rehabilitation of Disabled Children was implemented in PMR from 2012 to 2016. Deputies of the Supreme Council heard a report on its implementation, as well as information on the effectiveness of the use of financial resources for these purposes during today's plenary session. Unfortunately, there was too little money for this cause. Under the plan for five years from the republican and local budgets for the implementation of the state program should have been allocated almost 11 million rubles. The percentage of financing at various budget levels, unfortunately was only 8-9%. Despite this, as assured by the First Deputy Minister of Social Protection and Labor Oleg Fedotov, the additional money sponsored by the sponsors managed to carry out a number of events that contribute to improving the life of this category of citizens.

At the legislative level, it was also possible to consolidate in the legal framework of the republic the payment of additional benefits for disabled children, provide them with equal access to education, and the receipt of medical services. According to the Ministry of Industry, at the beginning of the implementation of the State Program for the Prevention of Childhood Disability and Rehabilitation in the Republic, there were 1353 disabled children, 1326 - at the end of it.
