Direct dialogue of the people's representatives with government representatives began with a speech by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, which marked the range of issues to be discussed. Alexander Shcherba reminded that two weeks ago, in the course of preparation of the government's report to the legislature about work last year, the Supreme Council sent a list of questions to the President, answers to which deputies are interested in, and, most importantly, their voters.

Before proceeding to discuss the topical issues identified in the agenda of the meeting, lawmakers, at the request of Deputy Ilya Vasilyev, heard brief information about the current economic situation presented by the head of government. Alexander Martynov, speaking of general trends in the economic sphere, noted that the results of the first half of this year can be assessed as positive and even superior plans for 2018.
