The international scientific-practical conference "The Yakovlevskie readings. Modern legal science and practice: actual problems and perspectives " took place at the State University. The work of the forum was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, the head of the parliamentary committee on education Mikhail Burla, the state Advisor to President Anna Volkova, Pridnestrovian teachers, as well as their international colleagues - university professors from Russia, Ukraine and Moldova.

"The Yakovlevskie readings" in Pridnestrovie are held for the third time in memory of the doctor of law, professor, creator of the Faculty of Law and Vasily Yakovlev the first rector of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko. In addition to the outstanding scientific activity, Vasily Nikitovich was a man with an active civil position, he was at the source of the creation of our republic: he was a deputy of the first convocation of the Supreme Council, he participated in the development of the first Pridnestrovian Constitution.

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba was a student of Professor Yakovlev. In his welcoming speech, the speaker noted the need for holding such conferences.

Anna Volkova addressed the participants of the conference on behalf of the President of PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky.

Scientists, practitioners, scientists, government and public figures will deliver reports at various sites of "The Yakovlevskie readings" conference. They will talk about the problems of the legal science related to modern economic crisis phenomena, as well as the prospects for the development of jurisprudence.
