Young Pridnestrovians sang in the Kremlin

Vice-speaker of the parliament Galina Antyufeeva and deputies of the Supreme Soviet met with the Pridnestrovian participants of the joint choir of Russia. On the eve of the new year, young choir members of the Bendery School of Art became participants in the traditional annual concert of the joint choir of Russia, which was held in the State Kremlin Palace. Along with young talents from all regions of the Russian Federation, 10 children from Pridnestrovie received the opportunity to sing at the main concert stage of the country. Thanks to inter-parliamentary cooperation and support from State Duma deputies representing the interests of Pridnestrovie Sergey Chizhov and Alexander Yaroshchuk, as well as the chairman of the Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky, they managed to organize a trip to Moscow for the children.

Vice-Speaker Galina Antyufeeva, deputies of the Supreme Council Yury Kucherenko and Yury Kravchuk learned about the impressions of young choir members. Irina Shikhanina, head of the delegation and teacher of the Bendery School of Art, honored cultural worker of the PMR, told the parliamentarians about the trip.

The joint choir of Russia performed 16 well-known works. The program included songs by Soviet authors Alexandra Pakhmutova and Isaac Dunaevsky, as well as classics - Bizet, Prokofiev, Glinka, Tchaikovsky. Galina Antyufeeva thanked Galina Antyufeeva for the shown endurance and worthy performance of children.

Deputy noted that a branch of the All-Russian Choir Society will be opened in Pridnestrovie, which will allow Pridnestrovian artists to represent the republic more often at international cultural sites. The attention of the young and already accomplished talents is also provided by the President.

Yuri Kucherenko wished the children to further develop their talent, which will certainly lead to success. The children were given letters of thanks and souvenirs. Having sung for those who honored them, truly Russian “Kalinka-Malinka”, the children personally demonstrated their performance skills. After that, the young choristers went again to please their listeners. This time in the Palace of the Republic.
