The balanced and rational approach

The work on the law-in-draft "On land reclamation in the PMR" will be continued in the second reading. Such a proposal came from the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex. According to the deputies, by the time of the final reading, all the proposals that were voiced during the discussion of this important law-in-draft for the republic should be taken into account.

In addition to the law "On land reclamation in the PMR," the Supreme Council plans to adopt a state target program to restore the reclamation industry in our republic. This will be a strategic program document, which will spell out a clear plan for the restoration of land reclamation facilities, the priority of measures, the time frame for carrying out certain restoration work, as well as the amount of funding for the entire program.

Restoring irrigation systems is only part of the industry's revitalization effort. Geological exploration also requires special attention in order to count on a stable water supply. To do this, state unitary enterprise Geologorazvedka must be re-equipped with equipment that meets modern requirements. Water is a strategic resource of the state in many countries of the world. The last dry years have shown that we must use this resource carefully and rationally.

A commission will be created in order to summarize the positions of all interested parties, which will include representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, deputies of the Supreme Council and land users. The law-in-draft "On land reclamation in the PMR" remains in the second reading procedure.
