Deputies of the Supreme Council immediately in two readings adopted an amendment to the Law "On road safety". Its adoption was initiated by President Vadim Krasnoselsky in the regime of legislative necessity, which calls for prompt consideration. The essence of the legal innovation is to expand the list of documents that car owners are required to present a compulsory motor insurance policy in the course of technical inspection of vehicles. A special ticket issued after the technical inspection, glued to the windshield in the lower right corner, will indicate that the motorist has an insurance policy. In this case, the traffic police officers will not be entitled to demand its presentation.

Parliamentarians as part of the discussion of this agenda item asked the official representative of the Ministry of the Interior, Radion Chebotar, to clarify the issues concerning the recognition of our insurance in the territory of Moldova, the temporary discrepancy between the inspection and buying the policy, the time when the law came into force if it was adopted.

The law-in-draft, presented by the President was supported by the responsible parliamentary committee on agro-industrial complex, transport, construction, natural resources and ecology. Deputies, however, point to the need to introduce transitional provisions, so that the cycle of inspection (within a calendar year) and the implementation of insurance policies that are also sold for one year coincided.

The deputy corps adopted the law-in-draft "On Amending the Law on Road Safety" in two readings.
