Interaction at all levels

The plenary meeting of the City Council of Tiraspol was held in an expanded format. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Vice Speaker Galina Antyufeyeva, members of parliament representing the interests of the citizens of Tiraspol came to know the state of affairs in the capital first-hand and talk with local deputies.

The chairmen of relevant commissions of the City Council presented reports on the work done over the past year. Attention was paid to the implementation of fiscal and social policies, privatization and municipal property, housing and communal services and development of the capital as a whole.

Deputies of the City Council actively express opinions on important legislations, work in the same way as the legislators on the implementation of various directions of state policy. As noted by the head of the city council commission on entrepreneurship, Dmitry Ivashchuk, in connection with the adoption by the Supreme Council of laws on new tax regimes with individual entrepreneurs, they held a number of informational meetings.

Tiraspol in many ways is an example for other cities of the republic. Most taxes to the republican budget come from taxpayers registered in the capital. The city provides subsidies for the payment of housing and communal services, preferential loans to young families for the construction and purchase of housing, developing infrastructure facilities.

Positive changes in the appearance of Tiraspol were noted by the Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov.

The speaker noted the coherence of the work of representative and executive bodies of local government. Alexander Korshunov urged City Council members to work more closely with legislators. According to the speaker, many topical issues for citizens, even the most inveterate, can be solved by joint efforts.
