Vyacheslav Volodin held a working meeting on preparation of parliamentary-public hearings scheduled for August 21.
According to Vyacheslav Volodin, "the hole in the Pension Fund will increase. And if now at the expense of the federal budget, 3,336 trillion are transferred to the Pension Fund. (about 40% of the volume and 20% of the federal budget expenditures), thus closing its deficit, then in the near future, the funds will need to be transferred almost twice as much".
The circle of profile committees of the State Duma involved in the preparation of parliamentary-public hearings is expanding, in particular, committees-co-executors have joined on the law-in-draft on improving the pension system. Among the participants of the meeting there are Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Taxes Andrei Makarov, the Chairman of the Committee on Health Protection Dmitry Morozov. The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science Gennady Onishchenko, who interacts during the preparation of hearings with experts, representatives of the Academy of Sciences and the university community.
Onishchenko noted the importance of the fact that this indicator, rather than the usual indicators of economic growth, is put on the first place. The MP considers that in this regard, it is important to raise the issue of preserving the health of the population in combination with increasing labor efficiency. In particular, Gennady Onishchenko noted, life expectancy of a person increases, which means, using the achievements of science, "it can work, but more efficiently and having a shorter working day".
In his opinion, it is necessary to find the optimal balance between saving the health of citizens and productivity of labor using modern scientific achievements. This will keep working capacity at an older age.
