Simplification of the import of medicines for another year

The Supreme Council adopted a law on the rules for importing medicines into Pridnestrovie in 2019. It is forbidden according to its articles to import medicines into the republic that are not registered in one of the states of the European Union or the Commonwealth of Independent States. The implementation of this regulation was suspended until the end of 2022 at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. The Supreme Council decided to extend the suspension of the law for another year in the current external conditions.

The law-in-draft was initiated by a group of deputies on the basis of an appeal by the Chairman of the Association of Pharmacists of Pridnestrovie, sent to the Supreme Council. The deputies adopted the amendments to the law “On Pharmaceutical Activities in the PMR” in two readings.
