The delegation of the PMR Supreme Council, headed by the speaker Alexander Korshunov, continues an official visit to the Russian capital. Several important meetings were held in the State Duma of the Russian Federation today. The agenda includes a discussion of situations with obtaining Russian citizenship by residents of Pridnestrovie, free movement of citizens outside the republic, problems of health care, education, social sphere and other issues of concern to Pridnestrovians.
The Head of the faction in the State Duma of the Russian Federation "Fair Russia - For the Truth" Sergei Mironov in the course of the meeting with Pridnestrovian parliamentarians noted the well-established interaction with the Supreme Council of the PMR. Sergei Mironov emphasized that he knows that the situation in the republic is difficult, connected with the introduction by Ukraine from September 1, 2021 of a ban on crossing the border by vehicles with Pridnestrovian license plates. This led in fact to the blockade of Pridnestrovie.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov noted the readiness of the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia to cooperate in solving the problems of the republic. The Speaker of the Pridnestrovian Parliament thanked for the trust and openness to dialogue, as well as for the unanimous adoption by the State Duma this summer of the Resolution on interaction and cooperation with the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The implementation of the Resolution was also discussed at a large meeting with United Russia parliamentarians. The delegation of the Supreme Council of the PMR met with the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the deputy elected from the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Sergei Neverov. Sergei Neverov in the previous convocation led the largest faction "United Russia" in the State Duma and is always aware of the problems and issues of concern to compatriots and citizens of Russia living in Pridnestrovie.
Russian colleagues, members of the United Russia faction, who are always in touch with the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, took part in a large dialogue with the Pridnestrovian deputies Alexander Korshunov, Ruslan Gareev and Oleg Petrik. These are Konstantin Zatulin, Sergei Chizhov, Artem Turov, as well as Andrei Gorokhov and Marina Orgeeva, first elected to the State Duma.
