The delegation of Pridnestrovie is on a working visit to Moscow. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov leads the delegation that included deputies Viktor Guzun and Sergey Cheban, head of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank Vladislav Tidva and Deputy Minister of Economy Maria Glushkova. The first meetings were held in Moscow today with representatives of parliamentary factions and in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
According to the website of the Just Russia party, the Pridnestrovian delegation was received by the Head of the party faction in the State Duma Sergei Mironov. The Russian parliamentarian indicated that he was glad to have another meeting with colleagues from Pridnestrovie.
Alexander Korshunov thanked the politician for his participation. Describing the situation, he said that the negotiation process with Moldova is now frozen, moreover, Western curators are strengthening their presence in Moldova.
Another problem was that Moldova has limited gas supplies to Pridnestrovie since November 1. Now fuel, according to Alexander Korshunov, will be enough mainly only to fulfill social obligations.
Sergei Mironov assured that he would send appropriate appeals to the President of the Russian Federation and the Government Chairman in order to help solve the problems of Pridnestrovie.
According to the website of the Federation Council, the heads and members of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security and the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs took part in the talks. According to Viktor Bondarev, head of the Defense and Security Committee, Pridnestrovie is an excellent example of interethnic harmony, where Russians, Moldovans, and Ukrainians feel like a single people, without separation based on nationality. Viktor Bondarev expressed his conviction that the peacekeeping contingent in Pridnestrovie under the current conditions is the guarantor of security and stability in the region. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Sergei Muratov, member of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Alexander Yaroshuk. Issues of resolving the situation around the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and its socio-economic situation were discussed.
