Meetings with Russian colleagues

Pridnestrovian delegation led by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov is on a working visit to Moscow. The Speaker and Deputies of the Supreme Council Petr Pasat and Sergey Cheban met with colleagues from the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Pridnestrovian parliamentarians took part in the plenary session of the II International Conference “The Role of the Interaction of Factions of Political Parties in Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the CIS Countries”. According to the Head of the United Russia faction Sergei Neverov, this cooperation of parliamentarians provides a unique chance for educational projects and humanitarian initiatives designed to preserve the memory of our common victories.

In the State Duma, the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots is developing a program of the International Relay of Remembrance and Gratitude "Homeland of the Feat - Homeland of the Hero".

The head of the faction expressed confidence that participation in this project would be of interest to parliamentarians from all Commonwealth countries. He invited all guests from the CIS countries to familiarize themselves with this initiative and join its implementation.

As part of the working visit to Moscow, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and parliamentarians Petr Pasat and Sergey Cheban held working meetings with the Chairman of the State Duma Committee for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov, State Duma deputy Elena Drapeko. The dialogue took place with the deputies representing the interests of the Pridnestrovians in the Russian parliament - Yevgeny Primakov, Alexander Yaroshuk, Sergey Chizhov and Artem Turov.
