The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Belarus, Supreme Ataman of the Cossacks of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Erkovich is on a visit to Pridnestrovie. Today the meeting with him took place in the Supreme Council. At the beginning of the dialogue, Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov thanked Nikolai Yerkovich for his visit to our republic, which coincided with the celebration of the 31st anniversary of the founding of Pridnestrovie. The Chairman of the Supreme Council told the guest about the structure of the Pridnestrovian Government, about the development of the state within the framework of democratic institutions and guidelines for improving our legislation.

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Belarus said that during his visit to Pridnestrovie, he visited many settlements and saw how the republic is developing.

Nikolai Erkovich spoke about the plans for cooperation in the sphere of culture, education and interaction between the peoples of the Republic of Belarus and Pridnestrovie. The Commissioner for Human Rights also noted that during the visit he paid special attention to international relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.

The parties in the course of the dialogue in the Pridnestrovian Parliament, exchanged views on the work of parliaments, discussed issues of an international nature.

The Commissioner for Human Rights congratulated the residents of the republic, where representatives of Belarus live, on the holiday. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov expressed hope for further cooperation with the Belarusian Ombudsman.
