Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Pridnestrovie have long-standing friendly relations. The Head of the official representation of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Vataman noted that cooperation will continue this year. Joint events have become noticeably smaller due to the pandemic. However, Abkhazia is still ready to participate in the events held by the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, and will be glad for the participation of the Pridnestrovian side in the life of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Delegation in Abkhazia will be expected at events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the start of the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia, which will be held in mid-August.
As for cooperation with the Republic of South Ossetia, the Head of its official representation in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Yankovsky recalled an important date for both South Ossetia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic – the 30th anniversary of the introduction of Russian peacekeeping forces into the territory of the republics. Vitaly Yankovsky added that 2022 for his country is the year of presidential elections, they will be held on the 10th of April. He hopes that the delegation of Pridnestrovian observers will also be able to take part in it.
The Pridnestrovian side, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov noted in turn that would be glad to take part in the events to be held in Abkhazia and South Ossetia if the epidemiological situation allows.
