Chairman of the Supreme Council met with the residents “Tkachenkovsky” constituency number 34 in the school № 11. In spite of the July heat, the auditorium was filled with inhabitants of Tiraspol, who came to ask the deputy exciting questions and get satisfactory answers.
The most discussed topic during the meeting concerned the operation of public utilities of the city, repair driveways, roads, sidewalks and playgrounds. Attention was paid to not in full pensions and salaries to state employees payment. Mikhail Burla said that the payment of wages to public sector workers and pensions in the amount of 70% of the accrued funds is a necessary measure. The reason - is the difficult situation in the economy. Due to the external restrictions decreased volume of exports outside Pridnestrovie turnover decreased the purchasing power of citizens. Manufacturers who send their products to the Russian market, due to the devaluation of the national currency, are significant losses. The head of the legislative body focused on the positive aspects - reducing gas prices for businesses. This will contribute to the preservation of jobs and industries, and such enterprise as GRES allows to remain competitive to export electricity to Moldova.
Many questions were asked regarding the characteristics of the order of Russian pension accrual, preservation of benefits for pensioners, the lack of price-list prices for medical services in health care, the introduction of insurance in the republic, the issuance of documents for car driving. The last topic was discussed especially emotionally by the voters - car owners.
Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla gave an objective assessment of the socio-economic situation in the republic, spoke about the work of the supreme legislative body of the republic to find a way out of this situation. He stopped at the proposals developed by legislators for more details. He also noted that the Supreme Council has not adopted any document on raising taxes and recalled that all tax laws are administered for 3 months before the start of the fiscal year (October 1). According to the speaker, revenue growth of the state budget must be achieved not at tax increases, but by the tax base expanding.
After the meeting, Chairman of the Supreme Council held a personal reception of citizens.
