The Meeting with the OSCE Delegation

14.09.2021

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with the delegation of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe headed by the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Thomas Mayr-Harting, the presidential press service reports.

The dialogue was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeyeva, Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev, representatives of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie and the Association of Transport Workers and Road Workers of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

They talked in the course of meeting about the situation in the negotiation process. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled the five final protocols signed in 2017-2018, and the agreements reached, which Pridnestrovie regularly fulfills, but the Moldovan side persistently ignores. The PMR President noted the particular acuteness of such aspects as the freedom of movement of Pridnestrovian vehicles and banking issues.

Thomas Mayr-Harting said that he is preparing the visit of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, scheduled for October 6 this year. The upcoming communication with the Swedish Foreign Minister will make it possible to prepare qualitatively for the meeting of the negotiators in the "5 + 2" format. The estimated time for the event is November 2021.

Today, the participants in the dialogue discussed the conditions for organizing and holding the upcoming meetings. One of the most important issues in the current circumstances is the participation of cars with Pridnestrovian numbers in international transport. European diplomats indicated that they are aimed at discussing working options for solving the problem.
