Universal Declaration of Human Rights - 75 years

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted and proclaimed by resolution 217 A (III) of the UN General Assembly on December 10, 1948. Developed by representatives of all regions of the world with different legal and cultural backgrounds, it first established the need to protect fundamental human rights throughout the world. 

It established a holiday in 1950 in honor of the UN Declaration – Human Rights Day, which is celebrated on December 10.
