World Labor Day

Every year on April 28, the International Labor Organization celebrates World Labor Day. This year the holiday is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the International Labor Organization. Today a conference devoted to this day was held at the Cultural Center of Tirotex CJSC. It was attended by the leaders of the State Labor Inspection, the chief engineers of enterprises and specialists of labor protection services who contribute to the creation of safe working conditions, the prevention of occupational diseases and accidents at work.

The general director of Tirotex, Deputy of the Supreme Council Andrei Mezhinsky addressed the audience with welcoming speech.

He congratulated the participants and guests of the conference on their professional holiday and wished them fruitful work, constructive communication, interesting and useful discussions.

Welcoming remarks were made by Head of the PMR State Supervision Department of the Ministry of Justice V. I. Ustenko, and Deputy Minister of Economic Development E. A. Grossul. The festive event was organized by the State Labor Safety Inspectorate of the State Supervision Service of the Ministry of Justice. The head, Vladimir Vorona, opened the conference with the report “Labor protection in the republic yesterday, today, and tomorrow.” There were also discussions on topics: certification of workplaces on working conditions, training and testing knowledge of occupational safety of managers and specialists.

At the end of the event, the guests were organized a tour of the workshops of the company, where delegates could familiarize themselves with the full production cycle, starting with cotton processing, spinning, finishing of cotton fabric, and ending with sewing garments. Production of textile products is carried out due to the technical re-equipment.
