World Science Day for Peace and Development

Science is an immanent component of any modern society, which has a multiplicative effect on all spheres of society's life. Providing new knowledge about nature and society, it is the main factor in the creation of innovative products.

The competitiveness of modern states and the possibility of an adequate response to internal and external challenges are largely determined by the level of development of the scientific sphere and effectiveness of using the achievements of scientific and technological progress. The intensity of scientific activity is the main factor determining the maximization of the final economic results, the minimization of the resource intensity of modern economic systems and the growth of the degree of security of states.

Scientific and technological progress and the intensity of innovative activity largely determine the level of development of economic systems, stability of functioning, quality of life of the population, degree of intellectualization, mechanization and automation of labor.

Science plays a key role in the formation of the intellectual potential of society, the mentality of the population, ideology, value attitudes of social groups and strata, as well as individuals. The works created by scientists at different stages of human development determine the modern vision of the world.

The most important function of science is not only the satisfaction of existing needs, but also the formation of new ones. Products are created (technical means, technologies, methods for solving problems) in the process of scientific research, previously unknown.

Pridnestrovie has created its own scientific complex that plays an important role in the development and implementation of the republic's development strategy, formation of the ideology and mentality of the population, and determination of the most effective ways of solving political, socio-economic and environmental problems. Science is one of the main modern and promising reproductive resources of Pridnestrovie.

I congratulate everyone on the World Science Day for Peace and Development. I wish scientists, inventors, innovators and participants in innovative projects new ideas, creative achievements and scientific implementations for prosperity of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
