Spring in Pridnestrovie is a time of change, awakening and great clean-ups. The Saturday Volunteer Work is announced tomorrow in the republic. And already today in Dnestrovsk, Employees of the state administration of Dnestrovsk and Moldavian GRES gathered in the central park of the city to start putting things in order. About fifty people gathered to make the city cleaner and more beautiful. Trees were planted and the territory ennobled by the deputy of the Supreme Council for the electoral district No. 33 "Vostochny" Victor Guzun, the Head of the State Administration of the city Sergey Karyuk and the general director of the Moldavian GRES Valentin Trubchanin.
The Saturday Volunteer Work took place under the cheerful song "Wake up and Sing". The territory of the park is large: a fountain, a rollerdrome, a playground-town. The women whitewashed trees, swept and took out the trash. The men dug tree holes and carried water.
Hibiscus and paulownia seedlings have been planted in the Dniester park today. Hibiscus or Chinese rose is a thermophilic flowering shrub with bright green foliage and white or purple flowers. Paulownia is also an exotic tree with pink leaves and a mild aroma. The director of the Moldavian GRES Valentin Trubchanin said that the trees were selected specifically for the Pridnestrovian climate, so the plants should take root.
The director of the Moldavian GRES added that the paulownia tree was named after the daughter of the Russian emperor Paul I. By mistake, it was named not by name, but by patronymic. The name was chosen by German breeders who worked at the court of the Russian Empire. They were not allowed to take the name of the emperor's daughter, so they took her patronymic, believing in the German manner that this is the middle name.
The residents of Dnestrovsk told the film crew of the press service of the Supreme Council that they had come to work in the park with great pleasure. They noted: they participate in the cleanup first of all for themselves and for their children, so that later they can come and admire the clean and well-groomed places for rest.
Viktor Guzun considers that it is necessary to hold more cleanups not only in Dnestrovsk, but throughout the republic. Such events teach everyone to observe cleanliness and order. This year Dnestrovsk will celebrate the 60th anniversary of its foundation, so the good old traditions that were laid down in Soviet times continue to develop even now.
